The Chamber has Advisory Groups that are comprised of local community business
leaders who gather in an effort to advocate for business, provide information and
leadership to the business community, interact with local elected officials and
to discuss business and community development issues. In addition, the members work
to promote economic growth in local communities as well. Advisory groups are also
great local networking opportunity.
Get to know the people in your community and work together to make things happen.
Advisory Groups serve as the Chamber's eyes and ears in the local communities:
Cumberland, North Smithfield, Pawtucket, Lincoln, Smithfield, Woonsocket and Central
Falls.
They:
-
Provide advocacy, information and leadership to city/town businesses and
leaders. The groups interact with local elected officials to discuss business
and community development issues. They continually apprise the Chamber's Board
of Directors on local issues.
-
Work to promote economic growth in local communities. Advisory groups work
closely with the Government Affairs Committee to ensure essential legislation
has a positive impact on the business community while promoting economic growth.
-
Facilitates the Chamber's local involvement. The Chamber has advisory groups
established in seven of its communities.
