Lt. Governor Roberts and General McBride will discuss the very important relationship between the business community and the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency
- As chair of the Emergency Management Advisory Council, Lt. Governor Roberts plays a key role in working with state emergency management officials and the Rhode Island National Guard to ensure Rhode Island' s preparedness for events like hurricanes and terrorist attacks.
- General McBride oversees the Governor's plan for Homeland Security through the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) by planning and implementing all state preparedness programs.
- The Lt. Governor and General will also discuss programs like Operation Holiday Cheer, the Military Family Relief Fund, and the Garden of Heroes (a memorial honoring all Rhode Island service members who have lost their lives in the line of service since September 11, 2001) that the business community has supported and for which much more support is welcomed.
