Eggs & Issues Breakfast
Thursday, April 25th
Guest speaker Senate President M. Teresa Paiva-Weed

2013 is fast becoming the year of “making it easier to do business in Rhode Island” at the General Assembly. With the Senate leadership recently releasing a package of legislation as part of its “Moving the Needle” agenda, issues like regulatory and permitting reform, tax policy changes and education restructuring will be a major focus in the second half of the 2013 legislative session.
The Chamber is very pleased to have one of Rhode Island’s most influential and knowledgeable leaders on hand to discuss with Chamber members and guests what lies ahead at the Rhode Island General Assembly for the rest of the year. Senate President Teresa Paiva Weed will address issue like: Will this be the year that Rhode Island’s regulatory environment gets a major overhaul? What is the "Moving the Needle" package? Will the rollout of the Rhode Island Health Insurance Exchange in October end up costing the state and/or businesses more money? Do General Assembly leaders have a plan to address education reform? Business leaders who are concerned about keeping northern Rhode Island a strong and attractive place to do business should not miss this opportunity to hear from a state leader who has an instrumental part in making that happen.
If you are concerned about what our state government does in the near future and how it will directly affect your business during the next several months this is a breakfast you must attend. |
